Shoplifting incident at home improvement store escalates into high speed chase through three Mississippi cities

A shoplifting incident at a Lowe’s home improvement store escalated into a high-speed chase spanning three Mississippi cities.
The chase ended in a crash on Government Street in Ocean Springs.
The incident began on Sangani Boulevard when D’Iberville police responded to reports of shoplifting at the store on Thursday. The suspect fled the scene, leading officers on a pursuit that crossed into Biloxi and, ultimately, Ocean Springs.
The chase concluded when the suspect’s vehicle collided with a trailer hitched to an AT&T truck. The suspect was taken into custody and is currently facing charges of shoplifting and felony eluding. According to authorities, additional charges may be forthcoming.
Police departments from D’Iberville, Biloxi, and Ocean Springs collaborated in the pursuit and arrest.
