Mississippi artist Conner Burns is marking a milestone this year as he celebrates the 25th anniversary of his Annual Holiday Open House and Studio Sale.
The event invites art lovers from near and far to explore Burns’ creative space, view his latest works, and enjoy the festive hospitality his family is known for. This includes a spread of homemade treats prepared by his mother and aunts. Attendees can purchase one-of-a-kind pieces and take a behind-the-scenes look at the artist’s evolving studio and courtyard.
The beloved holiday tradition began in 1999 and will take place on Saturday, November 30 from 1 to 7 p.m. at Burns’ studio, located at 209-B Franklin Street in downtown Natchez.

What started as a small gathering has become a regional draw for collectors and admirers of Burns’ signature clay creations. Known for his elegant, organic designs, Burns crafts vessels, teapots, and sculptural works that embody fluidity and a connection to nature. Each piece, with its subtle textures and natural tones, reflects his philosophy of creating objects that feel as though they’ve “grown that way.”
Beyond his studio, Burns has built a national reputation as a workshop instructor, and his work has been featured in books, galleries, and exhibitions worldwide. With pieces in collections across Europe, Asia, and the United States, he continues to bring recognition to Mississippi’s vibrant arts community.
“This event is a way to connect with the people who support my work and share the process behind it,” Burns said. “It’s incredible to look back on 25 years and see how it’s grown.”
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.connerburns.com.
