Pedestrian killed after being struck by two vehicles on Mississippi highway Thanksgiving morning

A pedestrian was killed early Thursday morning after being struck by two vehicles on Interstate 55 near County Line Road.
According to a press release, the incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. when Sterling Ray Hall, 57, attempted to cross the northbound lanes of I-55. Hall was hit by a gray 2013 Toyota 4-Runner, followed by a brown 2025 Freightliner UPS 18-wheeler.
Both drivers immediately contacted the Jackson Police Department and remained at the scene until officers arrived.
The Hinds County Coroner and Accident Investigations unit responded to the incident, which remains under investigation.
