A Mississippi public defender is out for justice against a Christmas Grinch that walked up to his porch earlier this week to steal multiple packages at his front door.

Laurel public defender Matt Sherman posted a video on his Facebook page from his Ring doorbell that showed the porch pirate stealing some of the Christmas gifts he had delivered to his house.

“Beware, Laurel: There is a red-haired, female Grinch lurking about. Hide your presents,” Sherman posted on his social media account.

The video shows a white car pulling into his driveway on Monday. A woman gets out of the car, walks towards his porch and then appears to be taking multiple packages from the front porch.

Laurel police are investigating and were trying to locate the suspect and the driver of the car in the video.

On Thursday Sherman posted, “If you think that items of yours have been stolen by the suspect shown in the door cam video I shared, please contact the Jones County Sheriff’s Department to make a report. Also, be able to provide the total monetary value of the items which are believed to have been stolen.”
