Officials: 10-week-old Mississippi child may be in ‘imminent danger’ after abduction

Mississippi officials are asking for the public’s help in locating a man suspected of kidnapping an infant child who may be in imminent danger.

Mississippi officials have issued a Missing/Endangered Child Alert for the 10-week-old baby.

Agents with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation said A’marion Nason, of Holcomb, was last seen around 7:17 a.m. on Thursday, December 19, in the 700 block of Powell Road in Grenada County. Nason is 17.29 inches, weighs 7.5 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

The Grenada County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Anthony Rayshun Mitchell, who is suspected of abducting the child.

Authorities report that Mitchell is reportedly Nason’s father. However, due to the circumstances surrounding the incident, they believe the child is in imminent danger.

Mitchell, 31, is described as a Black male, approximately 5’6” tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown eyes. He was last seen wearing black long pants, a black short-sleeve shirt, a black cap, and white Nike tennis shoes.

Officials have stated that the child has a medical condition requiring regular medication, heightening concerns for the child’s safety.
