Investigation launched after woman killed falling off bluff overlooking Mississippi River

A woman tragically fell to her death from the top of the bluff overlooking the Mississippi River in Natchez on Sunday evening.
The Natchez Democrat reports that Adams County Coroner James Lee said he received the call at approximately 9:35 p.m. reporting the incident.
According to officials, the woman reportedly fell 50 to 70 feet below after going over the railing near Roth Hill. Her identity is being withheld until her family is notified.
Natchez Police Chief Caroline Green said the Department is investigating the circumstances of the fall. As of late Sunday night, no additional details were available.
