Mississippi teen arrested, was driver in two-vehicle wreck that killed three, injured two others

The Forrest County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 19-year-old Mississippi man following his indictment by a Forrest County Grand Jury on three counts of killing while committing a misdemeanor. The charges arise from a tragic two-vehicle crash on June 18 that resulted in the deaths of three teenagers.

Austin Nathaniel Breazeale, 19, of Petal, is currently in custody and will be arraigned in Forrest County Circuit Court at a future date.

According to Public Information Officer Sherri Marengo, the accident occurred shortly before midnight near the intersection of River Road and B&B Loop in the North Forrest community. First responders from the Forrest County Sheriff’s Office and Forrest County Fire Services arrived to find seven individuals involved in the collision.

Three victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while two others sustained critical injuries. Breazeale was identified as the driver of the vehicle carrying the victims who lost their lives.
