A Mississippi man has been arrested for reportedly shooting his wife in the head on Christmas Eve.

Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones announced Wednesday that 53-year-old Timothy Wayne Tillman of Terry has been charged with murdering his wife following a deadly shooting at their home.

According to a statement shared by Jones on X, deputies responded to the residence Tuesday evening, where they discovered 65-year-old Dawn Marie Tillman with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dawn Tillman’s husband, Timothy Tillman, was detained for questioning and later arrested. He has been charged with the murder of his wife.

Authorities have not released a motive for the crime, and the investigation remains ongoing.
