Ergon Refining, a global leader in specialty naphthenic products, is investing $400 million to expand its operations at its Vicksburg refinery. The project, set for completion by 2027, will add gasoline production capabilities and enhance the refinery’s infrastructure. This includes upgrades that will connect the facility to the Vicksburg fuels terminal, where gasoline and diesel products are sold.

The expansion will increase the refinery’s production capacity and introduce a dual cogeneration power complex, optimizing efficiency and ensuring a reliable local gasoline supply. In addition, the project will create 20 new jobs in the region. The Mississippi Development Authority is aiding the expansion with road improvements, and local officials in Vicksburg and Warren County are providing support.

Governor Tate Reeves expressed enthusiasm about the project, noting that the $400 million investment represents a significant win for Mississippi, further solidifying the state’s business growth momentum. Bill Cork, Executive Director of the Mississippi Development Authority, highlighted how Ergon’s continued success reflects the strong business environment in Mississippi.
