Mississippi man charged with murder after 22-year-old dies of multiple gunshot wounds at apartment complex

A Mississippi man faces murder charges after a 22-year-old man was killed in a shooting early Saturday morning

Port Gibson Police responded to reports of gunfire at 3:38 a.m. at the apartment complex located at 417 McComb Avenue. When officers arrived, they found Larry Mosley Jr., of Edwards, Mississippi, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite emergency efforts, Mosley was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have arrested 20-year-old D’Onee Edwards of Port Gibson and charged him with murder. Edwards remains in custody pending arraignment.

“This is a heartbreaking loss for the Mosley family,” said Port Gibson Police Chief Russell Dorsey. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Mosley’s loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. We are committed to seeking justice and ensuring the safety of our residents.”

The case remains under active investigation. Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward. Additional details will be released as the investigation progresses.
