A Mississippi teenage boy died after falling into a pond while fishing.

Police received a call Friday evening that a young man had fallen into a pond in Rankin County and did not resurface.

Rescue crews located the victim and began CPR and transported him to a hospital for medical care, but the boy died later at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
