Mississippi man, former Ole Miss baseball player constructs hockey rink in backyard

A Mississippi man and former Ole Miss baseball player took advantage of last week’s frigid temps to construct a hockey rink in his backyard.
John Gatlin, from Tupelo, told the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal that he always wanted to build an outdoor rink and decided to do so when the opportunity arose this year.
The former Ole Miss baseball player constructed the rink in his backyard. His wife Claire posted a video of Gatlin constructing the rink and then skating in an Ole Miss Hockey jersey, making a few shots on the net with his 3-year-old son in tow.
