One of Mississippi’s colleges has partnered with HGTV personalities Ben and Erin Napier to start a new school.
Jones College in Ellisville announced the new Erin and Ben Napier School of Design and Building Arts through its foundation this week.
“Jones College alumni Erin and Ben Napier understand the impact Jones College has on the community,” information from the foundation reads. “The Napiers have graciously partnered with Jones College to close the gap of skilled labor in the areas of construction and building trades in Mississippi.”
The mission of the new school is to help bridge a gap between skilled designers, carpenters, and craftspeople and the communities in need across the Magnolia State.
According to the information from the foundation, programs will include Computerized Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Painting, Foundations, Plumbing, Framing, Roofing, Electrical, Masonry, HVAC, Carpentry, Metalworking, Plastering, and Stonework.
“We’re excited to share with you the vision behind the Erin and Ben Napier School of Design and Building Arts,” a statement reads. “This project is more than just a school; it’s a commitment to enriching lives and strengthening the fabric of small-town communities. Our aim is to create a place where thousands of students can explore their talents and build a better future.”
“We’re not just building a school; we’re nurturing potential and fostering growth. We invite you to join us in this meaningful journey and make a lasting impact. Together, we can create a legacy that will inspire generations to come,” the information reads.
