A Mississippi university will host former NFL quarterback Drew Brees and Mississippian Sarah Thomas, the first female referee, during a scholarship dinner.

“Join us for an unforgettable evening of excitement at our 2024 Scholarship Dinner featuring none other than NFL trailblazer, referee Sarah Thomas, in conversation with the legendary quarterback Drew Brees!” William Carey University posted about the event.

“Witness history in the making as Sarah Thomas, the first female NFL official, engages in a captivating interview with the iconic Drew Brees. Gain insights into Brees’ remarkable career, leadership principles, and philanthropic endeavors, sure to inspire and motivate.”

The event, scheduled for 7 p.m. on May 13, will take place at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center.

Individual tickets are $175 while sponsorships range from $2,000 to $50,000.
