We’re finally done with the rain from the weekend, but the return to sunny weather also brings a big chance in temperature.

Stretching from the Tennessee line to the Pine Belt, there is a freeze warning for most of the state except for some of the communities along the Mississippi River and the Mississippi Gulf Coast. A freeze watch covers the counties along the river.

We’ll be windy across the state, so it’s going to feel cool to cold Monday and Monday night. We’ll have another crisp day Tuesday with a return to the 60s and 70s by Wednesday before our next round of rain chances.

North Mississippi

Sunny with a high of 50 and winds around 10 to 15 miles per hour. Monday night, widespread frost. Clear with a low of 28. Breezy with winds around 10 miles per hour.

Central Mississippi

Sunny with a high of 55. Wind gusts up to 20 miles per hour. Widespread frost overnight with a low of 28. Winds around 10 miles per hour.

South Mississippi

Sunny with a high of 60 and wind gusts up to 25 miles per hour. Frost Monday night with a low of 29. Clear and breezy with wind gusts up to 20 miles per hour.

Gulf Coast

Partly sunny, becoming sunny with a high of 66. Breezy with wind gusts up to 20 miles per hour. Clear overnight with a low of 36.
