Officials have identified a man found deceased by fishermen who spotted the body along the shore of one of Mississippi’s barrier islands.
Officials from the Harrison County Coroner’s Office identified the body as that of Willie Hall, 47, of Georgia.
Hall’s body was spotted by fishermen Tuesday near Cat Island.
The Harrison County Marine Patrol and the Harrison County Coroner were called to the scene and retrieved the body.
Hall was wearing long gray pants, boots, a white shirt, and a jean jacket. Officials say there is no indication that Hall used a boat to get to the island.
The body has been sent to the State Crime Lab. Although the cause of death is unknown, officials say they do not suspect foul play at this time.
