A person who mistakenly tried to enter the wrong home Friday night is in a Mississippi hospital after reportedly being shot by the homeowner.

WLBT News in Jackson reports that police did not release the identities of those involved in the incident on Southbrook Drive in a North Jackson neighborhood.

Officials say a man with a possible medical issue tried to get inside the wrong home and was shot.

He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have questioned the homeowner. No arrests have been made in the incident, which remains under investigation.
