Pedestrian hit, killed by Peterbilt truck along Mississippi highway

A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a truck early Monday morning.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol reports that the pedestrian, identified as 29-year-old Todd Johnson of Pattison, was hit by a 2005 Peterbilt truck just before 3:30 a.m. on Monday, April 22, on U.S. 61 north of Port Gibson in Claiborne County.
MHP officials report that the truck was traveling northbound when the vehicle hit Johnson, who died at the scene.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
