Mississippi man arrested after shots fired while vehicle was being repossessed

One man was arrested Friday after shots were fired while a vehicle was in the process of being repossessed.
Oxford Police arrested Jamarion Demontrez Sharp 22, of Oxford, and charged him with Aggravated Assault in connection with the shooting.
On April 26, 2024, at approximately 5:07 p.m., the Oxford Police Department responded to the area of Price Hill Park for a reported shooting. Officers
arrived quickly and detained several persons of interest.
During the course of the investigation, detectives learned that a vehicle was in the process of being repossessed when a male, Jamarion Demontrez Sharp
22, of Oxford, fired a gun towards the victim. No one was injured in the incident.
Sharp was taken into custody and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked for Aggravated Assault. He was given a $100,000 bond by the Municipal Court Judge.
