One of Mississippi’s most popular restaurants, specializing in Mediterranean and Greek cuisine, has opened its third location in the Magnolia State.
After serving customers for more than 40 years in Jackson’s Belhaven neighborhood, Keifer’s held a ribbon cutting and a soft opening on Tuesday for its new location in Madison. Another restaurant located in downtown Jackson shares the restaurant’s name but is operated by other owners.
Mayor Mary Hawkins-Butler stood with other government officials and the restaurant’s staff for the ribbon cutting.
The new location will officially open on Wednesday, May 1.
Regular hours will be 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Sunday.
The restaurant is located on Highland Colony Parkway across from Broadmoor Baptist Church.
The restaurant specializes in gyros, hummus, Greek salads and its signature Cottage Fries.
People took to social media to express their happiness about the restaurant’s opening
