A woman has been charged with murder after a deadly shooting early Saturday morning.

WTVA in Tupelo reports that Ciara Latham was arrested and charged with murder and aggravated domestic violence.

Latham reported shot and killed 23-year-old Breanna Franklin in Macon at approximately 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Agents with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation later recovered what they believe is the murder weapon at a house in Columbus, reportedly owned by Latham’s aunt.

Latham has been denied bond and is awaiting arraignment, which is scheduled for Monday afternoon.
