Officials with the National Weather Service warn those in the western part of Mississippi to be weather aware Monday as Hurricane Beryl pushes inshore.

The remnants of Hurricane Beryl may produce isolated severe weather for residents along the Mississippi River today. The risk of severe thunderstorms also brings a threat of isolated tornadoes and damaging wind gusts.

Isolated severe storms will be possible late Monday afternoon and evening for areas across NE Louisiana, SE Arkansas, and far West Mississippi.
