Ambulance transporting patient to Mississippi hospital involved in serious crash

Two people were sent to a Mississippi hospital after an ambulance transporting a patient in cardiac arrest was involved in a serious collision Friday night.

The crash took place at 8:27 p.m. at the intersection of Briarfield Avenue and Highway 90 in Biloxi, according to WLOX in Biloxi.

The ambulance had four EMS providers on board, along with the patient. Following the incident, the Biloxi Police Department reported that the patient and one of the EMS providers were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Pafford EMS released a statement expressing gratitude for the swift response of emergency personnel who quickly arrived at the scene to offer assistance. The statement emphasized their cooperation with the Biloxi Police Department, which is currently investigating the cause of the collision.

“Our top priority is always the safety and well-being of our patients, crew members, and the public. This is a difficult night, and our prayers are with all those involved,” the statement read.
