Truck spills cases of beer in Mississippi university town. Police say no ‘help’ needed from residents in cleanup..

When an 18-wheeler lost part of its load and spilled cases of beer into the streets of Oxford, police in that university town knew to make it clear that “help” was not needed to clean up the mess.
They likely knew that a Facebook post about the accident would elicit hundreds of humorous comments.
Here are a few comments about the spill on Jefferson Avenue between North Lamar and North 9th Street.
- “Frat house could’ve had that cleaned up before police arrived. “
- “Terms of my probation are 20 hours of volunteer work. I volunteer to clean that up and properly dispose of it in a timely manner!!!”
