A Mississippi woman was found deceased after crashing her car into a building Saturday morning.

Officials from the Hattiesburg Police Department report Zikoya Johnson Echols, 36, of Hattiesburg, was discovered unresponsive by officers responding to the scene of the crash at Park Place Avenue in Lamar County.

The crash occurred at approximately 10 a.m. Saturday.

Echols’ body has been sent to the Mississippi State Crime Lab in Biloxi to help determine what may have caused Echols to crash her car into a building.

Officials from the Lamar County Coroner’s Office said the examination will help determine whether anything contributed to her death.

No other injuries were reported in connection with the incident.

The accident remains under investigation by the Hattiesburg Police Department and the Lamar County Coroner’s Office.
