A 77-year-old Mississippi man has been arrested after he allegedly sold property that had been previously sold.
The Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department has charged Nathan Cox Duncan, of New Albany, with “Selling Property Previously Sold or Encumbered” after receiving a report that Duncan sold property on County Road 5031 that was already subject to a lien and was scheduled for auction.
The person who reported the incident filed an affidavit against Duncan.
Following the affidavit, a warrant was issued for Duncan’s arrest.
A justice court judge set Duncan’s bond at $50,000.
