Mississippi authorities arrest man accused of stealing firearms, computers, pickup truck in multi-county investigation

Mississippi authorities have apprehended a burglary suspect following a multi-county investigation.
Asa Jennings Lester, 22, was arrested on Saturday morning, Nov. 16, and initially held at the Choctaw County Jail before being transferred to the Clay County Jail. Lester faces charges of burglary of a residence.
According to Sheriff Eddie Scott, Lester is accused of stealing firearms, laptop computers, a guitar, and jewelry from a home on Joe Thompson Road in western Clay County.
Investigators believe Lester also stole a truck in Webster County, which may have been used in connection with the Clay County burglary.
Sheriff Scott confirmed that while most of the stolen property has been recovered, some items remain missing. The investigation is ongoing.
