More than 600 pounds of drugs discovered during Mississippi interstate traffic stop

Mississippi law enforcement recovered more than $1 million in drugs after a traffic stop on Interstate 22.
WTVA in Tupelo reports that the Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Department discovered the drugs when deputies pulled over a van on Interstate 22 for a traffic violation on Sunday.
Upon further investigation, authorities found 600 pounds of marijuana and other illicit substances.
At this time, police have not identified anybody involved in trafficking the drugs and no arrests have been announced.
