Oxford has earned national recognition as one of the best small college towns in the country, securing the No. 2 spot in the USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

The contest featured 20 small college towns across the United States, with readers casting their votes from March 3 to March 31. The winners were announced on Wednesday, April 9.

“What an honor for Oxford to be recognized as one of the best small college towns by USA TODAY 10Best,” said Kinney Ferris, executive director of Visit Oxford. “We are always thrilled to receive national recognition of Oxford’s unique charm and welcome the spirit that Ole Miss students bring to enhance our thriving community.”

Nominees for the 10Best Awards are selected by a panel of experts, including editors from USA TODAY and 10Best.com, before the public votes to determine the rankings.
