A Memphis TV station is reporting the resignation of several Olive Branch police officers and a firefighter following accusations of having sex at work.

FOX13’s investigation uncovered multiple sources who said the scandal involves patrolmen and ranking officers, including three sergeants, accused of multiple sexual encounters that happened at Olive Branch police and fire stations and even in patrol cars.

 

 

Olive Branch Police Chief Don Gammage refused to confirm or deny whether his department was conducting an investigation into the officers’ alleged misconduct, calling it “a personnel matter” he can’t discuss.

FOX13’s reporting included filing open records requests with the police department and Olive Branch City Hall to find out the names of the officers involved and why they were allowed to resign rather than being immediately terminated.

 

 

 

Olive Branch Mayor Scott B. Phillips Jr. echoed Gammage’s statement to FOX13, saying he won’t discuss personnel issues or release personnel records “per state law.”
