Jack Ligon: American Hero?

Probably.

The Oxford High School student recently scored a perfect 36 score on the ACT, something only achieved by about one-tenth of one percent of all test takers.

“I read a lot of nonfiction, especially Sports Illustrated because the articles really help with all the different sections,” Ligon told The Oxford Eagle. “The AP classes I’m taking help provide a lot of background knowledge, so I feel more confident going into the test.”

Ligon also followed a strict ACT test-taking routine, which included water, sharpened pencils—and a t-shirt of Ronald Reagan wearing a folded bandanna of the American flag. BECAUSE JACK LIGON IS A CHAMPION.

“He’s a very determined person, and a good kid, a balanced kid,” said Allen Ligon, Jack’s father. “We’re so proud of everything he’s done.”
