A north Mississippi child care center has notified parents that a worker at the center has been accused of abusing children.
WTVA-TV reports that Cotton Candy Kids Learning Center in Water Valley has sent multiple letters to parents since December about an investigation into a worker. A parent accused the worker of mistreating her child in December.
The center has said the worker is still employed, but has another worker with her at all times until an investigation is complete. The center says state licensing officials have been notified.
Parent Merissa Thomas told the television station after a Friday meeting that she was dissatisfied with the child care center’s response and wanted more answers. The center didn’t respond to the television station’s request for comment.
