Authorities say an 11-foot alligator busted through a kitchen window and broke several bottles of red wine in a Florida home before it was captured.

Police tweeted that the gator was removed from Mary Wischhusen’s Clearwater condominium early Friday. No one was injured.

Wischhusen uses a walker. She told news outlets that the moment she saw the lumbering reptile, she moved into her bedroom, closed the door and called police.

She says she played computer games while waiting for help to arrive.

The alligator was spotted first by a newspaper carrier who saw the animal acting aggressively in the roadway, then in front of the house. The newspaper carrier feared the homeowner would open their front door and be startled by the alligator, so she called police. Moments later she heard a crash.

The Clearwater Florida Police received a call from Wischhusen moments later.

Wischhusen says it took two trappers and 10 police officers two hours to get the alligator out of the home, where she has lived for almost four decades.

Police reported the alligator will be taken to a private location locally to rest and recover from what the trapper described as a traumatic experience for the gator. If the gator is deemed to be a good candidate for relocation, then the alligator will be taken to a private alligator farm in Fort Meade.
