A former Mississippi middle school coach pleaded guilty this week to a charge of attempted to possess child pornography after he was caught filming girls in a school locker room.
Micah Wilbanks, of Corinth, who at the time was a coach at Kossuth Middle School, pleaded guilty Thursday before Judge Mike Mills.
Wilbanks was arrested in 2018 after a student found Wilbanks’ cell phone hidden in the school’s locker room.
The girls took the phone to another coach who confronted Wilbanks and brought the matter to the school’s principal.
Wilbanks was reportedly “high as a kite,” the principal told investigators, when the principal found him.
Wilbanks will be sentenced at a later date.
