Police were searching Sunday for a man they believed shot another man, sending him to the hospital in critical condition.

Vicksburg police report they were called just after midnight to Merit Health River Region Medical center where a victim had been dropped off at the emergency room with a gunshot wound to his buttocks, WLBT-TV reported.

The victim was airlifted to University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson where he was listed in critical condition.

Police were searching for suspect Jacorey Terrell Wright of 235 Smith Road.

Police believe Wright and the victim got into an argument which led to the shooting.
