The Mississippi man accused murdering his parents Sunday afternoon in Natchez reportedly knocked on a stranger’s door holding his diaper-clad baby and told the woman he was Jesus Christ.
WLBT-TV reported that Colton Prescott allegedly drove from the crime scene with his baby wearing only a diaper.
And while law enforcement officers were searching for him, he wound up on a stranger’s doorstep in the Lake Montrose community south of Natchez.
When the woman inside the home came to the door, Prescott reportedly told her he was Jesus Christ.
Police say Prescott had gotten into an argument Sunday afternoon with his parents after he tried to take his 9-month-old daughter with him.
The bodies of George Prescott Jr. and Cathy Prescott were found inside their Natchez home. Both reportedly had been shot in the head.
Prescott was being held Monday in the Adams County Jail without bond.
People familiar with him say he had been a drug user for several years, which may have led to his alleged crimes.
