‘Paw Patrol’ has NOT been canceled, please back away from share button

Whatever you do, don’t get “fired up” over fake news, particularly if you’re a fan of Marshall, Rubble, Chase and the gang on Nickelodeon’s hit kids TV show “Paw Patrol.”

Social media has become ablaze in the last few days with a completely false rumor that the highly popular Nickelodeon TV show “Paw Patrol” has been canceled as a result of the national protests over police brutality.

If you aren’t familiar with the show, it’s a cartoon (and seemingly a million or more toys related to the show) featuring a team of dogs that help out people in trouble. The dogs feature Chase, a German shepherd police officer; Marshall, a firefighting Dalmation; Rubble, a construction working bulldog; among other pup characters.

Last week the show’s official Twitter account included a tweet calling for “Black voices to be heard,” which while harmless, seem to bring out the Twitter mafia.

“Euthanize the police dog,” one commenter wrote.

“Defund the paw patrol,” wrote another.

Whether the commenters were being serious or just trying to be funny, isn’t clear.

But the show is most definitely not canceled.

Still, the hype around the matter has incited the anger of a number of high-profile people including President Trump’s son, Eric Trump.

The Paw Patrol will still be on a roll again soon to TVs, phones and tablets everywhere.

The show announced it was signed on for an eighth season earlier this year and a film, “Paw Patrol: The Movie,” is reportedly slated to be released in theaters in August 2021.
