The body of a Mississippi woman was found burned inside a car in a secluded, wooded area.
Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office deputies report they identified the body as that of Sandra Cook, 57.
Her body was sent to the state crime lab for an autopsy.
Investigators are searching for clues on how she was killed, who killed her and who burned her body.
State media report the car was found on Regan Island Road near the Claiborne County and Hinds County line. That area is just northwest of the Natchez Trace Parkway.
Reportedly Cook lived near where her body was found.
Sheriff’s investigators report it was immediately unclear if foul play was involved or if somehow her death was an accident.
