Mississippi authorities arrested a man after he led Capitol Police on a chase and rammed his vehicle into their patrol cars.

The incident started when officers attempted to stop a vehicle on Woodrow Wilson Avenue near N. West Street on Wednesday, December 11.

The driver was identified as Cody Herrington, 22. He was arrested at the scene with no further incident. No injuries were reported.

Herrington has been charged with driving under the influence, failure to yield to emergency equipment, two counts of simple assault on a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, and a seatbelt violation.
