A Mississippi man was arrested and accused of attempting to molest a 13-year-old child.

Kevin Reick, 36, of Harmontown was arrested and charged with Attempted Sexual Battery and Molesting-Touching of a Child for Lustful Purposes.

On Dec 4, deputies from the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a sexual assault on County Road 514.

The victim, a 13-year-old child, was allegedly assaulted by a male acquaintance.

Major Alan Wilburn with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department reported that deputies launched a comprehensive investigation, leading to the apprehension of Reick.

Reick is currently in custody at the Lafayette County Detention Center with a bond set at $75,000.
