One person died after being ejected from a vehicle during a two-vehicle collision on the Mississippi interstate.

Officials from the Jackson Police Department say the wreck occurred shortly after 6 p.m. Tuesday on Interstate 220 North near the Hanging Moss Road exit.

According to police, one person died after being ejected, and another person was injured in the wreck.

The identity of the victim was not released pending notification to the family.
