Mississippi woman who reportedly killed husband live on social media pleads guilty, sentenced in case

A Mississippi woman who shot her husband while broadcasting in live on social media has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the case.
Kadejah Michelle Brown, 28, of Lowndes County, pleaded guilty Friday to shooting and killing her husband, Jeremy Brown, 28, during a domestic violence incident in March 2023.
Brown was arrested by the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office after deputies responded to a domestic violence call shortly before 8 a.m. on March 25 at a Green Tree Drive residence. Deputies found Jeremy Brown dead of a single gunshot wound.
Officials report that the couple was in an argument that turned physical. The incident was recorded and broadcast on Facebook Live.
A judge on Friday sentenced Kadejah Brown to 40 years in prison. She will serve 34 years behind bars, with the final six years being on supervised release.
