Two lucky Mississippi Lottery players struck it big, winning nearly $300,000 in Mississippi’s Match 5 lottery game.

According to the Mississippi Lottery website, the players matched all five balls in the Match 5 drawing held on September 10, 2024.

The winning numbers for the drawing were 2, 17, 20, 23, and 33. Two lucky players will split the $583,000 jackpot. Due to the parimutuel nature of the Match 5 jackpot, where the prize is divided among multiple winners, each player will receive $291,500.

One lucky winner has already come in to claim his prize. The Pontotoc resident purchased his winning ticket from Blue Sky #727 in Tupelo.
