Mississippi police officer arrested after reportedly being found passed out in patrol car with meth pipe

A Mississippi police officer was arrested after being found with a meth pipe in his patrol car, according to authorities.
The Belzoni police officer, identified as James Jackson, was taken into custody on Oct. 5 by Yazoo City police.
Officials report that Jackson was discovered passed out in his patrol vehicle with a meth pipe still in his hand. Upon further search of the vehicle, officers reportedly also found marijuana in the glove box.
Jackson refused a sobriety test at the scene and was subsequently charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and DUI refusal.
Following his arrest, Jackson was released on bond. Further investigation into Jackson’s actions and status with the Belzoni Police Department is ongoing.
