A Mississippi man has been arrested after what appeared to be a medical emergency has now been ruled a homicide.

The Vicksburg Post reports that Charles Dudley White, 43, has been charged with the murder of his 74-year-old father, Charles Lee White.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office responded to a medical call on Culkin Road at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Oct. 29. At the time, deputies were told that a person had fallen at that location.

Further investigation of the incident by the Medical Examiner’s Office led officials to reclassify the incident as a homicide.

White was arrested by the Warren County Sheriff’s office on Monday is being held without bond.
