The Oxford Police Department has arrested a woman in connection with a November 15 incident at a gas station on University Avenue, where a vehicle was allegedly used as a weapon during a dispute.
Officers were called to the scene after reports of a verbal altercation escalating into a vehicle intentionally striking another. Four minors were in the impacted car at the time of the collision, but no injuries were reported, and medical treatment was declined.
A witness described the crash as deliberate, prompting police to gather additional evidence, including witness statements and security footage from nearby businesses.
Following the investigation, authorities arrested Tara Marion, 30, of Abbeville. She has been charged with Aggravated Assault – Manifesting Extreme Indifference to Human Life. Her bond was set by a Municipal Court judge.
The investigation remains ongoing as police continue reviewing evidence related to the incident.
